The Grand Foundation for Higher Education
There are bumper stickers seen around the world that say London, Paris,
Tokyo, New York, Moab. Moab means that it is A Far Away Place. This
community is a far away place. It is one of the most remote locations in
the lower 48 states. It is one of the most wondrous locations on earth.
Moab has world recognition for movies and commercials, mountain biking,
technical climbing, hiking, spectacular scenery including Delicate Arch,
jeeping, white water rafting, and motorcycling. It is a living laboratory for
the paleontologists, biologists, archaeologists, geologists, ecologists, and
outdoor recreational planners. It is a place of art and connection to the
earth. Moab is one of the most unique locations on earth.
Moab is a little community that hosts 1.3 million visitors a year. Yet behind
the tourism economy, Moab is a community of challenges. The
community's higher education has been dictated from a far as well. Moab's
educational voice has been drowned out by the shouts of large cities.
The Grand Foundation for Higher Education was created for the purpose
of supporting local higher educational opportunities and to be a
world-learning center in natural resources and the fine arts.
We ask for your support for higher education in a far away place.
